JCEvents - JCFitness Documentation

Introduction:

JCEvents is a Joomla component developed for event management (or) event administration by allowing users to register for events online. The list of events are displayed in a calendar format that helps the users to attend the events by booking/registering online. JCEvents is the only component that has both public and personal calendars for listing events. Public calendar shows all available events and the personal calendar shows events a user has registered for. JCEvents integrates with paypal payments, but for and additional fee can be customized for any gateway or payment system. The admin collects all the money for the paid events.

The administrator has the authorization and permission for adding the events. The Admin only decides who is eligible for posting the events (by assigning them to a group with posting permissions) and can monitor the posting of events from registered users or some other users.

The JCEvents shows the events list in two varieties of groups (public and private). Public events is viewed by everyone. Private events can be viewed by members who who are assigned access to the private URL of the events by the admin.

An event contains the detailed description and information about event name, start-date, end-date, locations, webpage (URL), mail-id, agenda of Events schedules in files, images, videos.etc. The file type limitations are also provided for events. Events registration are provided to the subscribers.

Events are created in different categories like sports, cultural, spiritual, education etc. which the admin creates. The person who posts the event decides the category, and an event can be posted to only one category. There is a menu option which displays events by category and includes a search field for finding events.

Each event can be assigned a location (city, state, address etc). Events are created in different locations. The person who post the events assigns the location for the events. Each event can have only one location assignement. Location and category describes the events, and where the event should start and their types.

Group oriented permissions are granted for creating events and locations. In group oriented permission, admin grants permission for posting the events, but location may be
created or not. In admin panel (group tab) you have this option. The group oriented permissions, decides where the event or location should be moderated or not.

Calendar layout is shown for both public and personal calendar. Public calendar show all the events posted on sites, in which date the event will start and when it will get
finished. Personal calendar shows the users only subscribed events. It is useful for the users to identify the events they have registered for by date in their personal calendar layout.

A event registration user list is available in Joomla admin panel, as well as the name, IP address, and events they have subscribed to. The registration/subscribers status are managed by admin panel who decides if the users registration is accepted, denied, or in pending status.

There is automatic mail generation for registration, invitation and activation. Mail will be generated from admin to subscribers for the events. Once the user has
registered/subscribed for an event, an automatic email will be generated and sent. Depending upon the status of the registration/subscription, the mail will be generated. Email layouts and the text for the emails can be edited by the admin.

The subscribers request is not confirmed until verified by the administrator and is confirmed. Another option is auto approval for users to accept the request. It is direct confirmations from the event owners.

Expired events are moved to archived status based on their time parameters.

A Paypal plug-in we are able to offer ticket based events.
