Contact and Calendar Updated to 1.5.NATIVE

The calendar was modeled after the features of the calendar plug-in for the Thunderbird email program, It was never meant to be an events calendar at all, We originally needed a CRM program for a site we had developed and sugarCRM is just too robust and complicated. So, the calendar was designed as part of a day planner, or appointment book. The contacts and calendar were so a user on a community builder based platform could have a mini-CRM tool. That’s all. Lets say someone was having a party, they placed it on their calendar and could share the party with a friend on their connections list. This was never intended to be a global calendar, or a calendar for a site administrator to use for site wide events. Thus the word PERSONAL in the name of the extension.

So, now nobody actually read the description and I started getting all these emails and complaints that it did not work. It worked perfectly, just not how they thought or wanted. There are a zillion calendars out there that do global events just for the administrator of the site to post. Why would I create something that already existed?

So,  after many emails and more money invested in development then I have taken in for all of the extension put together, we have added new permissions for the calendar listings.

I still think that if you have 10k users all posting global events to everyone’s calendars, that is just like spam, and there will be no way to organize the events. So, I hereby indemnify myself of that issue. With global events you may get 1000 listings on one day. Phew!
So, it is finally done, i hope you all enjoy it. If you need help use the ticket systems.
